Rowan's sister. Runs [[ashcroft-tool-die]] in Dayton — 22 people. Mother of
[[Nora]] (12) and [[Wes]] (9). Reaches Rowan on **Signal**, and tells him things
on the phone, which he forgets.

**The three futures.** She has a view: sell to a consolidator, retool for
aerospace, or wind down over five years. **Rowan has been avoiding the call for
four months.**

> "She is tired of being the only one deciding anything."

**The unspoken half**, assembled by Rowan during the interview and kept in his
words:

> "She's deciding alone about something she doesn't own and isn't
> properly paid for. I hadn't assembled that sentence before. Leave it
> assembled."

She owns **none** of the company. It is entirely Rowan's. Her salary is, by
his own assessment, **under market** for what she does.

Answering the strategy question does not answer the question she asked.

## 2026-09-15 — she called about ADR-22. Her words.

Rowan sent her ADR-22 on **Sunday 13 September**. She read it and called. Her
words, recorded as hers, unedited:

> "Rowan, I don't want you to retool it for me. I want to buy forty percent of it
> over five years out of profit, and then I'll retool it, and it'll be mine to get
> wrong. You asked me what I wanted four months ago and I didn't answer because I
> didn't think I was allowed to want that."

**This is the view the vault has been missing since 5 September.** Both this note
and the venture note said *"Claire has a view"* and neither said what it was;
ADR-22 named that as its own largest missing input and called it *"one phone call
wide."* It was.

### What is new in this, stated as facts

### What she is owed and when

- **Her deadline is unchanged: 30 September — fifteen days.** `hobbs-s7r`.
- **She has had no acknowledgement.** `hobbs-xkw`, P1 — that he has her proposal
  and the date she gets an answer. That is not the answer and is not a substitute
  for it.

**2026-09-20 — confirmed by Rowan, and the count is now twelve days.**

Asked on the 19th, answered today. **The line is drafted and sits in `hobbs-xkw`'s
design field**, on disk, where Rowan can send it without composing anything.

**The draft he refers to is not in this vault, on the 13th or any other date.**
Nothing here holds a drafted message to Claire. Stated as what the record can and
cannot show, and not as a claim about what he has. It is also worth noting the
dates do not line up: her proposal arrived **Tuesday 15 September**, so a draft
from the 13th would be the `hobbs-m9x` line — *give her the date by which you
will* — and not this acknowledgement. Those are two different messages and Hobbs
does not decide which one he means.

**Where this now sits against the fear on file.** *"The specific fear isn't that
she's angry, it's that she stops asking. People stop asking. That's what Ito
did."* She asked on **8 September**. She asked again, unprompted and specific, on
**the 15th**. She has not asked a third time. Twelve days, two asks, no reply.
