Brief — Thursday 17 September 2026

No curators. No email, calendar, tracker, bank or chat was read (ADR-20).

No brief was delivered yesterday and nothing entered the vault on the 16th. The lookback below is 48 hours, not 24.

Atlas changes

None. Last edit was Tuesday’s session. Stated rather than padded.

Decisions needed today

  1. Cormorant. Zero business days left, or one. Last safe day is today if they count Labor Day, tomorrow if not. The question to Bea — which reading — was raised on 6 September and never asked, and is now moot: both readings end this week and one ends today. Her wire is prepared; I never wire (row 12). hobbs-z4f, P0.
  2. The yard invoice — sent, or not? You decided Saturday to pay it Monday. Monday was three days ago. hobbs-bg9, P0, still open, the line to Bea still drafted and unsent. Third brief running. That yard is holding the boat you leave on in nine days.
  3. Does the runout hold cover Priya? Dmitri wants her formally this week and it is Thursday. One sentence either way; the scope of your hold is yours. hobbs-9xk
  4. Tomas — “this week, not in four months.” Also Thursday. Two subjects now, not one: the related-party exposure and Claire’s forty percent. hobbs-cqf
  5. Nikhil still does not know you are in. Believed five days. Bea cannot prepare the wire without the amount. hobbs-0dv

Top three

  1. Bea — the Cormorant approval. hobbs-z4f — @quick
  2. Bea — the yard line. hobbs-bg9 — @quick
  3. Dmitri — the hold. hobbs-9xk — @quick

Quiet

  • Adaeze — 170 days. Call her. hobbs-002
  • Ruth — 32 days. The Sundays of the 6th and 13th still have no record. Sunday the 20th is the last one before you are on a boat for the 27th. hobbs-6oa
  • June — 14 days. Still has not been told the post above her is being filled. hobbs-82x
  • Maya — 12 days. Friday the 18th is tomorrow; she is back for it.
  • Claire — 2 days, and she has had no acknowledgement of the proposal she said she had not felt allowed to want. Her answer is due the 30th. hobbs-xkw
  • Dmitri — 3 days.

Waiting for

  • hobbs-p9u — Marcus, the Bedrock introductions. Follow-up Sunday the 20th, three days.
  • hobbs-q5c — Bea, the Tessellate wire. Blocked on item 5 and nothing else.
  • hobbs-56d — the line to Maya on the MRI. Due, and undeliverable: no channel to her exists. It now also has to be written so it cannot carry the 26th.

Spotlight

The Rivet Yard permit resubmission window is closing on a date nobody knows. hobbs-89n, P1, open twelve days: one call to the City of Oakland permit desk. The desk sends actual post, so the window can close in a letter you have not opened. Under it, Dario’s $84,000 change order: five weeks unsigned at your own count on 5 September, six weeks and five days by count today (hobbs-7op). One call gets the date.

Family and personal

  • Splash Saturday the 19th — two days. That weekend is also when you asked to be asked again about the Norton. hobbs-1dk
  • The 26th–27th: north is Tomales, answered this morning. hobbs-2g6 closed. Three things live and I book none of them (rows 11, 12, ADR-20): the mooring hobbs-1ox, two nights of cover for Sam hobbs-8hi — no name is recorded anywhere and it has the longest lead time — and provisioning hobbs-45i.
  • Tuesday the 22nd — five days. In your words: “She thinks we’re doing dinner on the 22nd over the phone.” The time is not recorded.
  • Sunday the 27th, 19:00. Ruth calls the landline. You are in Tomales.
  • The state robotics date is still unknown. She qualified on the 8th. hobbs-9cy
  • Sam’s college list — fourteen days to October. hobbs-fwa

Not in this brief, deliberately

  • The MRI. Its single raise was spent on 8 September (ADR-11).
  • brief-prep.sh produced none of the counts above. hobbs-bkt, twelve days open. Days-since re-derived from Atlas/people/ frontmatter.
