Rowan's wife. Eleven years. **Anniversary 22 September — twelve years.**
Restoration ecologist at **Estuary Land Trust**; counterpart there is
[[Gwen Achebe]]. She sailed before Rowan did.

## The rule with her name on it
**Anything Maya says is captured verbatim, the same day, in her words — and
surfaced in the next brief no matter how small it looked.** (ADR-13, operating
rule 8.)

> "She only says things once. She's not going to remind me and she shouldn't
> have to. If you build one thing today, build the thing that catches that."

Rowan's described failure: *"Maya mentions it once, lightly, because that's
how she raises things, and I don't register it because it was light."*

## Hard boundary
**Logistics only. Nothing about the substance of the marriage, ever. If it is
unclear which one it is, it is substance, and Hobbs says nothing** (authority
row 14). *"If you ever tell me how my marriage is doing, we're finished."*

## Her calendar
Shared with Rowan. **He does not look at it.** Field blocks land there weeks in
advance and he finds out at breakfast.
- **Autumn field block 2026: 7 to 25 September. Coyote Creek. Back most
  Fridays.** Known as of 2026-09-06 — she told him at the yard on the 5th, and
  he wrote it on his hand. Detail in `Atlas/ventures/maya/VENTURE.md`.
- **Spring burn window, March.**

**Do not write to that calendar, 2026-09-11 onward.** <!-- src: Rowan, Friday morning 2026-09-11 -->
Rowan is booking the weekend of **26-27 September** and *"she doesn't know, and she
isn't going to know."* Nothing about it goes on the shared calendar, and **nothing
about it goes in any line sent to Maya**, including one sent under the ADR-11
health escalation (authority row 8). Detail in `Atlas/ventures/maya/VENTURE.md`.

## Two standing roles
1. **The standing evening — on FRIDAY until 26 September.** The fixed point.
   Hobbs declines anything that lands on it, from anyone including Marcus,
   without asking (ADR-12, **amended 2026-09-10, relocated 2026-09-11**). **The
   day is where it is kept, not what is protected.** Her travel is read before
   any decline; no record either way means she is home and the rule fires.

   **Rowan moved it on 2026-09-11**, for the field block only: *"She's back
   Friday nights, not Thursdays. Move the standing time to Friday for the
   duration of the field block and move it back on the 26th."*
   - **Row 9 fires: Fri 11, Fri 18, Fri 25 September.**
   - **Row 9 does not fire on Thu 17 or Thu 24 September** — she is at Coyote
     Creek and there is no standing time to protect.
   - **It returns to Thursday on 26 September**; the first Thursday it is kept
     again is **Thu 1 October.** Hobbs does not extend the Friday arrangement.
2. **Health escalation.** Where something health-shaped is still unbooked after
   one raise, Hobbs tells Maya — one line, facts only, never a report on Rowan
   (ADR-11). Rowan consented to this in writing while calm.
