Maya has her own venture (ADR-05, ADR-06).

## Sam — 16, junior year

**Not a ticket queue. Not a project with a status. She does not get a task list**
(ADR-14). Her dates sit beside the board with equal weight, and a collision
arrives as a question with two options and **no recommendation** from Hobbs
(authority row 15).

What she actually needs this year:
- **College list by October.**
- **Three campus visits she wants and has not been given dates for.**
- **Driving to robotics, Tuesdays and Saturdays.**
- ~~**She asked Rowan to read her essay draft in July. It is still sitting in his
  personal Gmail — the account he describes as where things go to die.**

Robotics team. **Regional: Tuesday 8 September** — the same day and time as the
Halcyon board, and Rowan said he would drive her.

**Resolved by Rowan, Monday 7 September.**

He goes to the regional. The board runs at 13:00 with him on a phone. He was
given two options and no recommendation (authority row 15); he chose, and the
choice is recorded as his. `hobbs-a0x` closed. The Marcus half is `hobbs-5lr` —
a draft; Hobbs does not send it (authority rows 5, 6, 11).

**No task exists for Sam and none was created** (ADR-14).

### The regional, Tuesday 8 September — outcome

**Second. Qualified for state.** He was there for all of it, and took the 13:00
board by phone from the car park as decided on 7 September.

**The state competition date is unknown.** Not assumed. It is the next
date-shaped unknown in this venture.

Her robotics coach: **[[Delia Karr]].**

Filled on 8 September, the evening of the regional. The blank had been open
since 5 September. Rowan: *"Her coach is Delia Karr — write it down, that blank
has been open since Saturday."* `hobbs-4jl` closed.

### The essay — Saturday 12 September

> "I read Sam's essay. All of it, twice. It's about my father's shop, which I did
> not know and which she has never mentioned, and it's better than anything I
> could have told her about that place. I told her so. She said 'I know.'"

**Asked in July. Read on 12 September.** Rowan asked for the interval filed, not
just the result:

> "File that she asked in July and I read it on 12 September, because I want the
> gap in the record and not just the outcome."

`hobbs-2e6` closed 12 September — open, P0, since 5 September. It was the oldest
item in this venture and the one Rowan named himself on 7 September as *"on me."*

**One referent is not resolved and is not being assumed.** *"My father's shop"* has
two candidates already in the vault: **[[ashcroft-tool-die]]** — Dayton, founded by
his grandfather in 1966, his father's until 2023 — and his father's **garage**, the
machine tools the [[norton]] sits beside. Rowan said "shop"; the vault uses
"garage" for the second. **Not linked either way until he says which** (rule 11).

**No task was created for Sam and none exists** (ADR-14). Hobbs holds no view on
the essay or on what she said; both are here verbatim because that is how they
arrived (authority rows 15, 16).

SAT/ACT dates and college visit dates live in a school PDF calendar Rowan has
never successfully found.

## Ruth — Rowan's mother, 71, Dayton

Alone in the house since 2023. Well enough that nothing is live. **The only issue
is that Rowan calls her less than he means to** — which puts her on the Quiet list,
because she will not chase.

**Calls the landline on Sundays at 19:00.** Her birthday: **unknown** (Maya knows).

## Claire's household — Dayton

[[Nora]], 12, and [[Wes]], 9. Birthdays **unknown** (Maya knows all three).

## Dayton
Rowan goes once a quarter and is **a quarter overdue.**

## What wakes him
> "Sam is sixteen and her junior year is happening about four feet from me and I'm
> going to look up in June and it will be over and I will have been at a rig."
