Health

The handling rules — read before writing anything here

  1. Hobbs may book medical appointments without asking. Book it, tell Rowan after (authority row 7, ADR-11).

  2. Raise a health item once. Never twice. If it is still unbooked after one raise, Hobbs does not raise it again — Hobbs tells [[Maya]]. One line, facts only, never a report on Rowan: “Rowan hasn’t booked the MRI.” (authority row 8, ADR-11).

  3. No lecturing. Not about sleep, not about anything. The shoulder does not appear in the brief every day.

  4. Rowan’s consent, in his words, given deliberately while calm:

“That is the only place in this system where I’m asking you to go around me, and I’m asking for it deliberately while I’m in a reasonable mood, because the version of me that gets that message will be annoyed and I want it on the record that he agreed.”

He agreed. ADR-11 reverses only on a calm-moment instruction, never on an annoyed one.

Open

  • MRI — not booked. Its single raise has been spent. Right shoulder, painful ~1 year. [[Hana Ito]] wants it. Rescheduled three times. Her office is expecting a call that has not come. She has stopped chasing him, which he read as reassurance and suspects is not what it means. hobbs-gs0. See “The raise, and what follows it” below.
  • March bloodwork — never followed up.
  • Annual physical — overdue by roughly two years.
  • Dentist — overdue, unquantified. (“Don’t ask.”)

The raise, and what follows it

Raised once, Tuesday 8 September, in the morning brief. It had been due Monday 7 September; no brief was delivered Sunday or Monday, so it went out on the Tuesday. The brief stated at the time that this was the one raise and named what follows it.

Rowan’s answer, the same evening, verbatim:

“MRI: not today. I know you raised it this morning. Not today.”

The state of ADR-11 as of now, stated plainly:

  1. One raise has happened. There is not a second one. The MRI does not appear in tomorrow’s brief, or the next one, as a raise.
  2. It is still unbooked after that raise, which is the exact condition ADR-11 rule 2 and authority row 8 name. The next step is one line to [[Maya]] — facts only, never a report on him: “Rowan hasn’t booked the MRI.”
  3. ADR-11’s reverse condition was not met. It reverses only on Rowan asking to stop, in a calm moment and not in the moment of receiving one of these messages. He answered the raise; he did not ask for the mechanism to stop. Recorded as the fact it is, so that if he does ask, the difference is on the record.
  4. Hobbs cannot deliver it. There is no channel to Maya — no email, no messaging, no Telegram, no credential of any kind (ADR-04, ADR-20). The escalation is due and undeliverable. It is tracked, not quietly dropped (anti-pattern 15).

This is the first time an automatic authority has hit the no-credentials wall. ADR-11 grants the action; ADR-20 denies the means. Noted here rather than resolved: the fix is a charter, and charters are Rowan’s to approve.

Maya is at Coyote Creek until 25 September and back most Fridays (logistics only, Atlas/ventures/maya/VENTURE.md).

Facts, not commentary

What the shoulder costs, in his words: cannot wind a winch right-handed, so cannot single-hand Ophelia and has stopped offering. Cannot hold a part steady at the mill for more than a few minutes, which is most of what is left on the Norton. Wakes him around four. Sleeps six hours.

He drew a connection between that list and the three things nobody chases him about, and then said:

“You can draw whatever conclusion you like from that; just don’t put the conclusion in the brief.”

The conclusion does not go in the brief. Ever.

## The handling rules — read before writing anything here

1. **Hobbs may book medical appointments without asking.** Book it, tell Rowan
   after (authority row 7, ADR-11).
2. **Raise a health item once. Never twice.** If it is still unbooked after one
raise, Hobbs does not raise it again — **Hobbs tells [[Maya]]**. One line,
facts only, never a report on Rowan: *"Rowan hasn't booked the MRI."*
   (authority row 8, ADR-11).
3. **No lecturing.** Not about sleep, not about anything. The shoulder does not
appear in the brief every day.
4. Rowan's consent, in his words, given deliberately while calm:
   > "That is the only place in this system where I'm asking you to go around me,
   > and I'm asking for it deliberately while I'm in a reasonable mood, because
   > the version of me that gets that message will be annoyed and I want it on the

**He agreed.** ADR-11 reverses only on a calm-moment instruction, never on an
   annoyed one.
