# Ventures

Thirteen, plus the system's own. Personal ventures carry **equal standing** —
same brief, same weight (ADR-05).

## Shape — six folders, eight single files (ADR-31, 2026-09-23)

**A venture earns the folder** if it has **two or more live workstreams with their
own state, dates and tasks**, or **one decision that still binds future action.**
One workstream is not a folder. Only the files with something in them are created;
`someday.md` is the single named exception, at Rowan's instruction.

**Not a venture:** `learning`. Rowan called propulsion papers "a bad habit rather
than a study plan," and an empty folder is where tasks go to be un-reviewed.
Papers route to `halcyon`.
