Thursday 10 September 2026
Rowan asked for the brief and then gave a correction: the board dinner proposed for Thursday 24 September was declined under authority row 9 while Maya is at Coyote Creek. The correction was logged verbatim before anything else was touched (ADR-21, constitution rule 12). No curators, no accounts read (ADR-20).

Notes
- The error was the trigger, not the strength of the rule. Row 9 was keyed to a weekday, which is a proxy for the evening it protects. A rule written to fire without asking will fire without checking unless its trigger names the thing itself. Three weeks a year the proxy defends an empty house, and nobody is home to notice. Rowan’s own formulation is now the ADR: “the standing time with Maya is sacred, and Thursday is where we currently keep it.”
- The information was not missing. The field block — 7 to 25 September,
Coyote Creek — has been in
Atlas/ventures/maya/VENTURE.mdsince 6 September, and the brief of 9 September named 10, 17 and 24 September as the three Thursdays inside it. It was read out loud on Wednesday and not consulted on Thursday. - A second, separate failure: the decline left no trace. No commit, no task,
no curation-log line, no brief line. Grep returns nothing; the only reason it is
known is that Rowan saw the note. The rails had been read as applying to edits
— the same category error as 2026-09-08, where a rule about vault files was read
as not covering a
bdnote. An automatic authority is the one that most needs a receipt, because Rowan never approves it in the moment. Rail added to ADR-12. - The other automatic rows were checked in the same pass. Rows 7 (book medical appointments) and 8 (tell Maya) name the thing itself. Row 9 was the only one keyed to a calendar artefact. Nothing else amended.
CLAUDE.mdrow 9 was not edited. The constitution is outside the Atlas / Calendar / Efforts grant (constitution s.5). Replacement text drafted onhobbs-4s8; until Rowan gives the word, the ADR-12 amendment governs.- The Friday is an assumption and is flagged as one. “Put it back to me on Friday when she’s home” is read as Fri 11 September, the next Friday she is back — Fri 25 September falls after all three Thursdays and would make the question moot. Stated in the brief for Rowan to correct.
- Hobbs holds no view on what the three Thursdays should be, and did not propose moving the evening. Where it sits is Rowan’s and Maya’s (authority row 14).
- Spotlight: the roof (
hobbs-2hi,home).moneywas spotlit yesterday,rivet-yardon the 8th,nortonon the 5th; none repeats this week (ADR-19). scripts/brief-prep.shday counts were unusable — the machine clock still reports 5 September (hobbs-bkt), which returned negative days-since for Claire and Dmitri. Every count in the brief was re-derived fromAtlas/people/frontmatter (SL-01).
