The refit and the splash
Closed. Kept as a project note rather than deleted, because everything that follows it — [[tomales-passage]] and [[race-season]] — was gated on it, and a closed gate with its dates in it is how the interval stays checkable.
The sequence

The five days between the decision and the call are the fact worth keeping. The decision was made on the Monday and executed on the Saturday, and for those five days the splash date — and the anniversary weekend behind it — sat on an unmade phone call. Rowan’s own words on the 12th:
“Ellis: called him, approved the $3,400, splash confirmed for the 19th.”
After that call the date was Ellis’s commitment as well as Rowan’s, not a conditional offer.
What this project did not settle
The yard bill. The $3,400 of new work was approved at a yard Rowan was 52 days
late paying at Ellis’s last count. That is hobbs-bg9, it is still open at P0,
and it belongs to money and to the hub note — not to this project, because it
did not close when this project closed and filing it here would have retired it
by association.
The seven-day gap, stated as a fact
She went in the water on Saturday 19 September. The next use recorded anywhere in this vault is two nights to Tomales on the 26th. Nothing here records a sail between those two dates. Not a recommendation, and Hobbs holds no view on whether one was wanted.
